Kindergarten Parents:

If your student is enrolled in all day kindergarten they will ride the regular bus to and from school. Refer to the elementary route for tAunt Edna he closest bus stop.

Half day students who elect to use the bus during mid-day will be put on a route made up of other kindergarteners. You must fill out a form to secure mid-day transportation (see below for a printable pdf). Your driver will contact you with the location (generally it is the same as the AM or PM location on the regular bus route) and the time, after we receive the form.  At the beginning of the school year, you will be called prior to the first day of school. For the remainder of the school year, please allow up to three days to be routed onto an existing route.

Morning and Afternoon kindergarteners will use the community bus stop on the regular elementary route for the beginning or end of day.

For the 2012/2013 School Year, the half-day kindergarteners will attend on furlough days (half day release) according to the following schedule:  (please call us if you have any questions about this)

May 24: PM attends

For ALL kindergarten bus riders: a parent or guardian (or other designated person) is required to meet kindergarten students when they are dropped off. If you have an older sibling getting off the bus with your child, we must have a signed & dated note giving permission to release your student with the sibling.

Transportation Facility Tour

Kingston Co-op Preschool students and parents visit the NK Transportation Department for a tour by our very own Mike the Mechanic.  The children get to see buses up close, and even underneath!  Mike talks about the tools the mechanics use, and all of the things that are done to make sure that the buses are safe.  The mechanical staff is doing something right, because when our buses are inspected by the Washington State Patrol we pass with flying colors!
