Our community offers a variety of recreational activities for families in Kitsap County.

Boys & Girls Club  - Kingston Middle School
What to do after school? Join us at the NK Boys & Girls Club.Your student has a safe, supervised place to hang out after school.  The North Kitsap Boys & Girls Club serves all Kingston Middle School students and is located in a KMS classroom space next to the Commons, behind the ‘stage’. Operated Mondays through Thursdays on NKSD calendar days, it is a welcoming place for kids to participate in a range of activities: playing pool or ping-pong, homework, arts and crafts, cooking, sports, field trips, video games and free time. Young people have an opportunity to develop ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals. Camp Fire USA encourages every child to discover his or her talents and abilities in a safe and secure environment. Camp Fire allows youth to be part of a group that helps them make friends, interact with adult role models and become concerned citizens in their communities. Cub Scout Pack 2575 - Meets at St. Olaf
An exciting opportunity for boys in grades 1-5 to learn skills, make friends and have fun. We meet Monday evenings at 7:00 pm in St. Olaf Religious Ed building. Offering community theater opportunities for ages 6-21 in Broadway-type productions four times per year. All children are welcome to participate and everyone gets to participate. Children will build their self-esteem and grow their leadership skills in the process.
 

Soap Box Derby is a unique youth racing program for boys and girls 7-17 that encourages adult-youth activities while building and racing a gravity powered car together. Good sportsmanship, quality time, building community, and having fun are what it is all about! We race in Poulsbo just below Olympic College’s Poulsbo campus on a closed road.  Contact our race director, David Walters at kitsapderbydad@hotmail.com for more information. 
 

Kitsap Water Blossoms Synchronized Swim Team

Native Horsemanship Youth Program
Free and low-cost lessons in horsemanship.  After-school and summer activity that is offered on a donation basis.  We also trade help on the ranch for horsemanship lessons.  Horses are trained as therapy horses and work very well with children with autism,  ADD/ADHD,  grief and behavior issues.  For more information or to sign up, call Lynne Ferguson at (360) 440-5975.
 

Offering swimming lessons, camps for kids, water aerobic classes, and lap swimming. Swimming lesson scholarships available to qualified K-8 students of the North Kitsap School District.
 

North Kitsap Little League Challenger Division
The North Kitsap Little League Challenger Division is currently registering Special Needs boys and girls to play baseball on the Challenger Team. Please visit the NKLL website (www.nkll.com) and follow the links to register for Challengers.  Challengers is free to Special Needs youths ages 5 - 18 who have a current IEP (Individualized Education Program).

The Poulsbo Piranhas Swim Team is a year round, competitive program that is fun, challenging and focused on the whole athlete.   We provide a team environment that nurtures leadership and guides each athlete toward the maximum development of their ability.  Our team is comprised of beginners through regional champions.  Our coaches are experienced and enthusiastic.
