2020-2021 - Meal Program Update

Through an extension of the USDA School Food Service waivers August 31, 2020, we are able to offer meals at no cost to all children in the community, regardless of income or enrollment. This is in effect through the entire 2020-2021 school year.

Meal distribution will start Friday, September 4, 2020. Meals will be available for pick-up on regular school days, Monday - Friday. Meal service will not be available on holidays or non-student days (any day that school is not in-session).

Per the North Kitsap School District's "Return to Learn" Playbook and the Kitsap County
Health District, masks are required when picking up meals at all of the distribution sites.

Free/Reduced Meal Applications

We strongly encourage all parent/guardians to submit a Free/Reduced-price Meal Application.
Even though all meals are free for ALL children in our community ages 18 and under, every eligible form that is not submitted means lost resources for our schools.

Filling out the school meal application may help provide:
*Before and After School Academic & Enrichment Programs
*Fee Waiver for College Applications & Admissions Tests
    *Guidance & College Counselors
   * Health & Wellness Services

Leaving or Graduating
 from the
North Kitsap School District?

If you have a student who has left the school district or is graduating, their outstanding Food Service meal balance (positive and/or negative) will be transferred equally between active siblings in the district.

If there are no active siblings, then please contact the Food Service Office and request a refund.

If your student has left the district owing money and they have no active siblings within the district, please take a moment and make a payment.  If you still have access, you may pay with a debit or credit card through Skyward / Family Access or you can pay by mailing a check to the school districts main office.
Please review our Meal Charging Procedure if you
 have further questions.
Thank you!
