Board Advisory Committees

The North Kitsap Board of Directors appreciates the commitment and dedication of its citizen committees and the benefits brought to the North Kitsap School District through the information compiled and brought forth by them. It is now time to streamline and maximize that investment of volunteer time and effort.  A clear sense of purpose, making sure that specific outcomes are met, developing timelines, getting meaningful input from our stakeholders  – these are all vital elements that must continue to be incorporated into our committees.

All committees (except for the School Closure Committee) are being retired as part of the review process in updating a clear direction for the district. This is an opportunity to redefine the types of committees that are needed to help the district move forward with continual student improvement and maintaining comprehensive learning environments that provide safe learning opportunities and result in well-rounded students.

New committees will be established later this fall. The ongoing challenge of continuing to increase student achievement in a tightening fiscal climate has made the contributions of volunteers even more important.

The Board appreciates the investment of time and expertise by all district volunteers. Thank you for giving so unselfishly!
