NEWS & INFORMATION

Try-outs must begin before school begins.  It is necessary for each athlete to be at ten practices before she can participate in a match.

All student-athletes must have all of their paperwork (including a doctor's physical) turned in to the main office before practice.  If your paperwork is not turned in, you cannot practice, and this will hurt your chances of making the team.  The school's main office has a special time dedicated to collecting forms -- Cavalier Express -- and it is in the afternoon of August 30 from 3-5.  Come meet Coach Goar!

Athletes need a ride home after practices and games.

Student-athletes will fill out an application form on the first day of practice.  We will be asking you last years GPA, so students should look it up.

All athletes must complete ten practices before they become eligible to participate in games.

Pay-to-play fees are $60, or they were last year.  They are only collected once an athlete makes the team.

Parent Info
If possible, other than for reason of illness, please allow your daughter to be at all of the matches and practices.    There is one optional Saturday practice.   I ask that KMS volleyball have priority over other sports teams and outside lessons for the two months of the KMS school teams.

In addition, the KMS girls team could use help this season in these ways:
1.) Provide fruit - cut apples, pealed oranges, bananas, strawberries, etc. for mid-practice food.
Parents can take turns.
2.) Provide video-taping of volleyball games and scrimmage.
3.) Come to games.
4.) Host team building party - time TBD
5.) Official scorekeeper or scoreboard operator at home games.
6.) Parents are expected to provide transportation home after practices and games.  Thank you.
Parents: please contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.
