 Senior Timeline
September
  • Narrow college choices down to 3 - 6.
  • Review individual college requirements and due dates.
  • Register for fall testing (SAT or ACT), if needed, and have scores sent electronically to the colleges of your choice.
  • Attend college fairs

October 

  • Begin online college applications
  • Request letters of recommendation (if needed)
  • Begin checking KHS Website weekly for scholarship opportunities
  • Attend the KHS College Information Night, (check calander)
November
  • Set a goal to have your part of your college apps complete no later than Thanksgiving, regardless of the individual college deadlines.
  • Request transcripts to be sent to complete your college applications. Get a Transcript Request Form, located in the floor offices or on the KHS website, complete it and turn it in to the registrar.

December

  • College choices should be firm and applications submitted.
  • Online applications should be submitted.
  • Attend Financial Aid Workshop at Kingston High School Commons.

January

  • Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1st.
  • Complete the "Local Scholarship Application."
  • Continue checking the KHS website for scholarship opportunities.
  • University of Washington priority date is January 15.

February - March

  • Washington colleges priority date is March 1
  • Notification of acceptance from some colleges begins

April - May

  • Notification of acceptance from colleges continue
  • Financial aid offers are mailed to students
  • If interested in Olympic College, arrange to take a placement test
  • Deadline to accept offers of admission is May 1.
  • Submit final Transcript Request Form to the registrar.
