About Us

The North Kitsap School District can be found at the northernmost part of the scenic Kitsap Peninsula in the western region of Washington State. Situated directly west of Seattle and separated by the beautiful Puget Sound, this unique location is characterized by its picturesque shoreline that spans hundreds of miles. The district encompasses an area of roughly 110 square miles and caters to the educational needs of various communities, including Poulsbo, Kingston, Suquamish, Hansville, Keyport, Indianola, and Port Gamble. Notably, it is home to two sovereign nations, the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe and the Suquamish Tribe, which further enriches the cultural diversity of the area.

Currently, the North Kitsap School District provides quality education to approximately 5,700 students. The district comprises six elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools, all dedicated to nurturing the academic growth and personal development of their students. The district is committed to supporting its students, with about 34% of them benefiting from free or reduced-cost lunches.
