New Playground for Wolfle Elementary
Updated

With construction of the new gymnasium underway, the wooden play structure at David Wolfle Elementary had to be retired. Thanks to a student advisory group that met last fall, a new playground was designed and installed behind the school. The playground opened this spring, giving students a safe and fun place to play together.

The $85,531.87 project was funded by the voter-approved 2022 Capital Projects Levy, with PlayCreation, Inc. serving as the lead construction agency.

And we’re not done yet — Wolfle Elementary will see more improvements in the coming years through the 2024 Capital Projects Levy, including:

  • A new safe and secure entryway that directs all visitors through the front office to be greeted by staff.

  • Vehicle and school bus circulation and drop-off/pick-up improvements.

  • Site accessibility upgrades such as improved sidewalks and pathways.

  • Safety and security enhancements, including perimeter fencing and stormwater improvements.

Thank you to voters for making these projects possible. Learn more at nkschools.org/2024levy
