Special Education
The North Kitsap School District is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive educational environment for all students, including those with diverse learning needs. The Special Education Department plays a crucial role in ensuring that over 800 students across the district receive the personalized attention and resources they need to succeed academically and develop life skills.
A dedicated team of professionals, including resource room teachers, life skills and intensive support teachers, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, work collaboratively to deliver tailored support for each student. Special Services Records
Special Services Records within the North Kitsap School District pertain to Special Education/504 documentation. To request these records, call (360) 396-3024 or fax requests to (360) 396-3940. Faxed requests should include the student's legal name, birth date, type of documents requested, and the signature of the legal guardian (or the student, if 18 years or older). These records are maintained with strict adherence to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of student information.
