How do I set up BusRight?

Setting up and using BusRight in the North Kitsap School District is a user-friendly process designed for convenience and ease of use for families. Here's how you can get started:

Wait for Your Email Invitation:
- Families will receive an email invitation from support@busright.com with the subject "You're Invited to BusRight".
- New families to the district will receive this invitation once their Skyward Family Access login is complete.
Check Your Contact Information:
- If you haven’t received an invitation, ensure your contact information in Skyward is up-to-date, as this is crucial for receiving the BusRight invitation.
Download the App:
- Once you receive the invitation, download the BusRight Parent App from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Create Your Account:
- Open the app and follow the instructions to create a new account. You'll typically need to provide your email and set up a password.
- Look for a verification email in your inbox and click the link to verify your email address.
Log In and Set Up:
- After verifying your email, log into the app.
- Add your child’s information and link their school bus route to your account. This might require specific details provided by the school.
Start Tracking:
- With your account active, you can now track your child’s bus in real time, view the bus location on a map, and get estimated arrival times at bus stops.
Customize Notifications:
- In the app, set up notifications to receive alerts, such as when the bus starts its route or arrives at your child’s stop.

Keep Your Contact Information Up to Date

It is important your contact information is up-to-date with your school. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent/guardian using their preferred email address and cell phone number listed in Skyward Family Access. We recommend reviewing your contact information annually.

Note: ParentSquare considers phone numbers marked as a cell phone as a parent/guardian’s primary contact information.
