CTE Students of the Year Honored at Celebration
Updated

On June 5, North Kitsap School District hosted the annual Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Year Awards in the North Kitsap High School Commons. Students, families, and educators from across the district gathered to celebrate the achievements of students enrolled in CTE programs at our middle and high schools.

CTE courses at NKSD provide students with hands-on learning in areas such as health careers, environmental studies, business and marketing, engineering and robotics, graphic design, and more. This annual celebration recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional skill, commitment, and growth within their programs.

We are especially grateful to our dedicated CTE teachers, who make these opportunities possible. Their passion and expertise help create engaging, career-connected learning environments that expose students to a wide variety of career options and prepare them for success beyond high school.

The event also included recognition for students who, with support from the Career Readiness Centers at our high schools, have earned real-world opportunities through internships and direct employment offers:

  • Justin Gallant – North Mason Fire Authority Student Volunteer Program
  • Mattingan Sgambelluri – North Mason Fire Authority Student Volunteer Program
  • Kyle Opplinger – Washington Department of Natural Resources
  • Luke Debolt – Western Washington Sheet Metal Pre-Apprenticeship
  • Jaxon Johnson – Trident Bangor Facility / PSNS
  • Max Nolan – PSNS Work Study Student
  • Doc Born – PSNS Work Study Student
  • Jack Grady – PSNS Work Study Student

We are proud of these students and all those who are gaining career-ready skills that will serve them well into the future. Congratulations to all of our 2024–2025 CTE Students of the Year!
