Why this survey matters
Each year, our schools apply for Federal Impact Aid funding. These funds help replace local tax dollars lost because of tax-exempt federal property.
Completing the survey takes only a few minutes, but it makes a real difference. Impact Aid helps our district:
- Hire and support staff
- Maintain reasonable class sizes
- Provide learning tools and materials
- Sustain programs that support student learning
Your participation directly supports resources for students.
How to complete the survey online
- Log into Skyward Family Access at nkschools.org/skyward.
- Open the Impact Aid form. For easier navigation, click “View Full Screen” in the top corner.
- The form works best on a computer or medium-to-large tablet.
Deadline to complete: November 21, 2025
For families who prefer paper forms
We understand not all families have easy access to Skyward or a device at home. That’s why we’ll provide paper copies of the Impact Aid form at each school in time for Parent-Teacher Conferences at the end of the month.
- Families can complete the paper form during conferences or take it home and return it later.
- Paper forms are also available in school offices.

Who should complete the survey?
Each family completes one survey for each student.
What information will I need?
Parent/guardian and student details, your address, and employment information if you work on federal property or are active-duty military.

Yes. Student and family information is protected by district privacy policies.
I don’t have a computer. What are my options?
You can complete the form at your school or fill out a paper form during Parent-Teacher Conferences.
