Safety & Security
At North Kitsap School District, we prioritize the safety and security of our students and staff. We have implemented a comprehensive approach to school safety that includes a range of measures and initiatives to address every aspect of school security. Our efforts include the presence of School Resource Officers, security cameras, controlled access, and a Visitor Management System. We also provide regular training and drills for our staff and students to ensure they know how to respond effectively in case of an emergency.
Creating a positive school culture is crucial to ensuring safety and promoting well-being, and our schools prioritize creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all students and staff. We work closely with local law enforcement and first responders to keep our schools safe and secure. Our commitment to safety is evident in the measures we have put in place, including comprehensive emergency response plans, routine safety drills, and regular safety audits. We continually evaluate and refine our protocols to ensure they are up-to-date and effective in the face of evolving security risks.
We believe that effective school safety requires a collaborative effort between our school community, emergency responders, and families. If you suspect any safety concerns, we encourage you to report them immediately to the appropriate staff or administration. By working together, we can create a safer, more secure learning environment for our students and staff. Thank you for your ongoing support in keeping our schools safe.
