Our Promise

All in for All Students

The North Kitsap School District's Strategic Plan, "Our Promise," provides a robust roadmap for fostering student achievement and success. Initiated in January 2019, the plan outlines goals and objectives aimed at enhancing the educational experience for all students, while recognizing the needs of the diverse community. The plan’s core belief in continuous improvement ensures that each student receives a high-quality education, preparing them for future success.

The plan is built on four key pillars, which serve as the "internal muscles" for achieving the set goals. These pillars encompass Accountable, Culturally Responsive Teaching & Learning, Strong Relationships with Family and Community, Safe, Trusting Climate for Learning and Work, and Effective, Caring Teachers, Leaders, and Staff for Every Student. Signature Strategies aligned with these pillars outline specific actions, programs, or initiatives crucial for daily execution. Collaborative efforts among stakeholders, teachers, families, and community partners are seen as crucial to realizing the collective vision of excellence in education and a promising future for all students.
