Earlier this month we celebrated nearly 50 NKSD students who earned the Seal of Biliteracy, representing proficiency in 9 different world languages.

Monday evening ESD Region 114 hosted the annual Regional Awards Ceremony for the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA). At this event, school districts from the Kitsap and Olympic peninsulas recognize outstanding community leaders in our school districts. Congratulations to KHS and NKHS student artist for earning top honors at the OESD 114 Regional High School Art Show! Several art pieces have been selected for the State Superintendent Art Show happening in May in Olympia, WA!

The North Kitsap School District Board of Directors unanimously voted to appoint Barbara Waggoner to fill the Director District 5 vacancy on Thursday, September 22, 2022, during the regular school board meeting. Waggoner took the oath of office October 13, with Poulsbo Mayor Becky Erickson presiding.

Both KHS and NKHS were named Best High Schools in the U.S. again this year, according to U.S. News and World Report 2022 Best U.S. High Schools! Data for nearly 24,000 high schools in the U.S. and 718 schools in Washington was reviewed this year. Check out the results!
