 Earlier this year teams of elementary, middle school, and high school literacy specialists and classroom teachers began the work of researching the very best literacy curricula currently available. Research included the following:

  • Developed criteria to help guide the review.
    Visited nearby districts, connected with experts in the teaching of literacy.
  • Analyzed specific elements of literacy curriculum for three programs for elementary and middle school.
  • Engaged our Instructional Materials Committee (IMC) for guidance and process approval.


For grades K-8, Wit & Wisdom and AmplifyCKLA/AmplifyELA were selected as the final two curricula for official review.

For Grades 9-12, StudySync and SpringBoard were as the final two curricula for official review.

Community Review

The Community Feedback review is now closed.

Curriculum Adoption process

The review and analysis phase will conclude in January. Input collected from our research team, Adoption Team, and the community will be reviewed and shared with our IMC.

Based on the input collected, one curriculum will be chosen to move forward for introduction to the School Board at the January 26, 2023 School Board Meeting.

The School Board will vote on the recommendation to adopt on February 2, 2023.

Once approved and purchased, teacher training will begin.
