Online Check-in is now open!Online Check-in for Returning Students:

IMPORTANT! Online Check-in for returning students opens on Friday, March 18 for the 2022-2023 school year.

2022-2023 Check-In Process

If you are familiar with online check-in, log on to Skyward Family Access to begin the process for the 2022-2023 school year.

If this is your first time using the online check-in or need instructions, visit the Online Check-In Instructions page.

All returning students in current grades K-11 need to be “checked-in” for the 2022-2023 school year. This will confirm your student’s continued enrollment in North Kitsap School District.

Note: For secondary students who have already submitted course requests for next year, this process is in addition to course selection that has already been completed.

New for 2022-2023 School Year: Beginning May 2, 2022, all NKSD students will receive free Kitsap Regional Library cards through a partnership with KRL and NKSD. If you do not wish for Kitsap Regional Library to have access to your student's directory information to receive a library card, you may OPT-OUT during the check-in process.

The benefits of online the online check-in process:

  • Check-in provides accurate enrollment numbers prior to the start of school. This reduces the possibility of having to add or drop teachers and greatly reduces moving students to a new class after school has begun.
  • It streamlines the paperwork that would traditionally trickle back and forth in backpacks. For some students, the paperwork may be misplaced or lost.
  • Check-in is conveniently located in Skyward Family Access so you can do it from home.  All of the required forms are provided electronically.  Your school also has the ability to provide forms specific to their building.
  • Parents verify and update student information one time. This ensures your school has the most current contact information for emergency situations.

Online check-in must be completed on a computer, NOT a mobile device or tablet. Computers are available at schools and at the Student Support Center for families without a home computer.
