We are continuously in search of skilled paraeducators who can provide a wide array of support to our eligible students in both educational and non-educational capacities. Their roles can be diverse, often involving tasks such as instructing students, handling classroom behavior, preparing learning materials, conducting tests, record-keeping, and supervising students.

Qualifications

• AA degree or
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 72 college credits or
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of an approved paraeducator assessment (ParaPro Test)

A Substitute Bus Driver serves a critical role within the school system, stepping in as needed to ensure safe and reliable transportation for students. Beyond driving, they play a key part in the students' daily life, often being the first friendly face in the morning and the last farewell at the end of the day, helping to create a secure and positive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Washington State Drivers License with appropriate endorsements
• Washington State School Bus Driver’s Certificate
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications
• Minimum of two years driving experience
• Excellent driving record with no suspension or revocation of driving license within last 5 years
• Must be able to read a map, learn school locations, follow routing directions and complete paperwork
• Must be able to pass a physical agility test, D.O.T. physical, alcohol and drug tests, FBI and WSP background checks

A Substitute Custodian plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional school environment. They step in as needed to ensure all areas of the school are properly cleaned and maintained, contributing to the overall health, safety, and positive learning atmosphere of the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance

Substitute Office Staff members are integral to the smooth operation of the school, stepping in as needed to handle administrative tasks and support communication efforts. They ensure the continuity of office functions, from handling parent and student queries to assisting with documentation and record-keeping, ensuring a well-organized and efficient school environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Familiarity with standard office procedures and the operation of various office equipment, including personal computers.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Substitute Community Pool Staff, which includes Lifeguard, Senior Lifeguard, and Swim Instructor positions, are vital roles ensuring the safety and enjoyment of pool users. Lifeguards and Senior Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring pool activities and implementing safety protocols. Swim Instructors provide swim lessons, promoting aquatic skills and water safety education, ensuring a positive and safe environment for all participants.
