Kitsap Regional Library Program

The North Kitsap School District and Kitsap Regional Library have joined forces to simplify public library access. Your student ID number now also functions as a library card, opening up the entire array of library resources for you. To discover more, please visit KRL.org.

All students currently enrolled in North Kitsap School District, including full-time, part-time, online, and in-person students, are eligible for a Kitsap Regional Library Student Account.

Accessing your Kitsap Regional Library (KRL) Student Account is simple. Follow these steps:

1. Visit the Kitsap Regional Library website at krl.org.
2. Locate and click on the "My Account" link, which can be found in the upper right-hand corner of the webpage.
3. You'll be asked to log in. Your Library Account Number is 'NK' followed by your student ID number. For example, if your student ID number is 12345, your Library Account Number would be 'NK12345'.
4. When asked for a password, enter your student ID number.

Remember, your student ID number both forms part of your Library Account Number and serves as your password for your KRL Student Account. If you encounter any issues, don't hesitate to contact the library for assistance at (360) 447-5450.

If you're already a cardholder with the Kitsap Regional Library, feel free to continue using your existing library card as always. This card and your new student account can coexist without any conflict.

The Kitsap Regional Library applies fees only in instances where an item you've borrowed is either lost or damaged. However, they do not impose charges for items returned after their due date. This policy enables patrons to return items without the worry of accruing late fees, although it's still important to return items promptly so others may enjoy them.

Yes, your student account with Kitsap Regional Library will continue to work even when school is not in session. This means you can access library resources using your student account during summer vacation, winter break, and other school holidays. It's a great way to keep learning and exploring outside of the regular school year.

If you do not want your student's information shared with Kitsap Regional Library, you must opt out of the library account program.

To opt out of your student receiving a Kitsap Regional Library Account follow the instructions below:

• Step 1: Login to Skyward Family Access.
• Step 2: Click on the "Student Info" button on the left side of the screen.
• Step 3: Click on the "Request Changes for STUDENT NAME" in the upper left corner of the student's profile.
• Step 4: Select "Student Information" in the dropdown menu.
• Step 5: At the bottom of the pop-up screen, locate "Allow Publication of Student's Name for:" at the bottom of the page.
• Step 6: Select "No" under "Local Use".
• Step 7: Click the "Save" button to complete the opt out process.
