Multilingual Learning and Language Access
NKSD offers a range of Multilingual Learning and Language Access programs to support students of all language backgrounds, whether they are building English proficiency or developing skills in a second language.
Multilingual Learner Program
Students in this program receive targeted support to build English language skills and access grade-level content. Students remain eligible until they reach substantial English proficiency.
Dual Language Program
The Dual Language Signature Program builds academic excellence, bilingual proficiency, and global awareness through rigorous instruction in both English and Spanish.
Seal of Biliteracy
The Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school students who graduate with proficiency in two or more languages. It serves as a formal credential for colleges and employers and celebrates multilingual achievement.
Translation and Interpreter Services
NKSD provides translation and interpreter services to ensure all families can access clear information and stay connected with their child's school.
